Mythical Pokemon - Mew, Celebi, Jirachi, Deoxys and the rest - and one-off event distributions generally transfer like any other Pokemon, but they come with a few extra considerations collectors should know.
They still ride the same rails
A legitimately obtained Mythical moves through Pal Park, Poke Transfer, Bank and HOME just like a Pidgey. There is no special "Mythical block" on the transfer system itself.
Where it gets tricky
- Regional dex limits still apply - a Mythical can only be withdrawn into a game that recognizes it.
- Ribbons and event markings are preserved and are often what proves a Mythical is the genuine event article.
- Meltan and Melmetal are a modern Mythical line that originates in Pokemon GO and reaches the mainline games through the GO Transporter.
The golden rule with anything rare: transfers are permanent, so be certain of your destination before you send a one-of-a-kind Pokemon up the ladder.
