Poke Transporter

The on-ramp into Pokemon Bank.

Poke Transporter is a free 3DS application that moves Pokemon from Generation V cartridges - and later from the Virtual Console releases of Generations I and II - up into Pokemon Bank. It only flows one way: into Bank.

Transporter scoops every Pokemon out of Box 1 of the source game and deposits them into a temporary box inside Pokemon Bank, where you then sort them. It requires an active Pokemon Bank subscription. Crucially, the 2017 update let Virtual Console Red/Blue/Yellow and Gold/Silver/Crystal use Transporter, which is the lifeline that revives classic Pokemon into the modern era.

Step by step

  1. 1

Have an active Pokemon Bank subscription on your 3DS.

  2. 2

Place the Pokemon to move into Box 1 of the Gen V or Virtual Console game.

  3. 3

Launch Poke Transporter and select the source game.

  4. 4

Confirm - the Pokemon land in the Transport Box inside Pokemon Bank, ready to organize.
