Pokemon HOME: Free vs Premium
What you can do without paying, and what needs the upgrade.
Pokemon HOME comes in a free plan and a paid Premium plan. For casual moving the free tier is often enough, but the big consolidation features live behind Premium.
Free plan
- A modest amount of cloud box space.
- Moving Pokemon to and from the Switch games (within their regional dexes).
- Basic functionality on mobile and Switch.
Premium plan
- Moving Pokemon from Pokemon Bank into HOME - the key one-way bridge from the 3DS era.
- Far larger storage for big collections.
- Bulk moving, trading features, and more boxes.
If your goal is to finally unite a 3DS-era Bank collection with your Switch games, Premium is the tier that opens that door.
