Generation VIII connects to Pokemon HOME two-way, but a Pokemon can only be withdrawn into Sword or Shield if it appears in the Galar regional dex (including the Isle of Armor and Crown Tundra expansions). HOME preserves Gigantamax data for the round trip.

Did you know?

Pokemon HOME has to preserve special Gigantamax data so a Gigantamax-capable Pokemon survives a round trip out of Sword and Shield.
